I came to the United States from Romania back in 1990.  I am a big fan of Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, New Order, Erasure, and I also like a lot C & C Music Factory, Snap, Technotronic, Modern Talking, Ace of Base, Culture Beat, La Bouche, Fun Factory, The Real McCoy, ATB, Fragma, Alice DeeJay, 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor, E-Type, Masterboy, KLF, Vengaboys, and other dance groups.  I guess there is no need to mention the giants here, because a lof of us music lovers already should know about Madonna, George Michael, Roxette, Sandra, Janet and Michael Jackson.  Of course, there are too many artists to mention here, and there was a lot more great music in the 80s and 90s than there is today, but there are many good songs nowadays, too.

My attraction towards music started, as it did for many of us, when I was around 14 years of age.  I remember when I went to this camp, and every night was a dance night, with a DJ, two huge speakers (they were taller than I was).  I was sitting down near one of the speakers every night, tapping the rhythm with my feet.  No one knows what goes on through a teenager's mind.  But one thing is for sure:  that's when I started feeling that certain draw towards dance music.  Then a little later I discovered that I felt like putting my energy into songs.  I have been writing songs since 1985.  I write mostly dance music, euro-dance, pop-dance, techno.  I have always been into production and creation, but around the turn of the millennium I started remixing some of the well known dance songs out there.  Then, I started mixing dance songs together into mega mixes and that's how the idea of my becoming a DJ was born.

I have been mixing and remixing since the year 2000, and more recently I decided to start my own DJ-ing company.

I am part of the Romanian community in the Washington, DC metro area.
